When two friends came together - they became Muddyfoot Gardening!
Cath and Vicky are passionate about being outdoors, so the idea of working together to pursue their dream of a flexible life, work balance became a reality and came to fruition over several cups of tea and maybe a bottle of wine!
Cath and Vicky realised their skills could compliment each other with a general garden maintenance business, and so Muddyfoot was born.
Being Mudeford locals, they are keen to work within Mudeford and the surrounding areas
Cath has a knowledge of plants, from tending to her beautiful cottage garden, and her abundant vegetable beds. Vicky has always pottered in her garden and carried out all her general garden maintenance, with a husband that likes to potter on boats, it's all down to Vicky !
Both Cath and Vicky are positive, approachable, reliable people, who are keen to develop and nurture Muddyfoot Gardening into a positive, healthy experience for everyone.
From a young age Vicky has been passionate about being outdoors, from her early years helping her grandad weed his garden and tend to to his vegetables, to later in life building and nurturing a vegetable plot in her own garden to enable her children to learn about food and where it comes from.
These days her garden has sadly turned into a skateboard ramp and trampoline park - as her children have grown and their demands have changed - Vicky dreams of the future when her garden can return to a relaxing haven for her and her plants. Vicky was instrumental in developing an area of waste ground at a local Infant School, project managing and building an area for each class to learn about the food they can grow.
Vicky loves to be outdoors in any weather, and is always happy to be tired from manual work- she hopes the success of Muddyfoot Gardening will ensure she's never tied to a desk again !
Cath has fond childhood memories of helping her grandad on his allotment and her gran in her cottage garden, mowing the lawn with a mechanical ‘push’ mower wasn't her favourite job though. Indeed Cath had an allotment up at Roeshot Hill behind Stewart’s, for a few years, when her daughter was small.
Nowadays she makes do with nurturing tomatoes, cucumbers and vegetables in her greenhouse and garden. Cath’s daughter is now grown up and where once there was a tired lawn with swing and slide, is now a haven for bees, butterflies, and family and friends dropping by for a coffee, G&T or wine, or maybe a bbq. Like Vicky, Cath loves to be outdoors, and loves gardens, so when her friend suggested working together, she was very keen. And so the Muddyfoot seed was planted!
